Yes. Creating a profile, browsing matches, sending requests and chatting with members who accept your request is free. Paid plans are optional and add extra features such as more requests a day and seeing who viewed your profile.

Tap Register, enter your mobile number and type the code we send you on WhatsApp. New members then add their name, accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, and complete their profile step by step.

Adults of legal marriage age in India — at least 21 for men and 18 for women — who are looking for a life partner. Parents or relatives can create a profile for someone with that person's consent.

Because consent comes first. You send a request (or a super like with a short message); a chat opens only when they accept. This keeps unwanted messages away from everyone.

A super like is a request with a personal message of up to 300 characters, shown to the other member with your profile. While it is pending you cannot send them another message — they decide whether to accept.

You choose. In Settings, set photos to be visible to all members or only to members whose request you have accepted. Others then see a blurred preview.

No, never on your profile. A member whose request you accepted may see it only if your privacy settings and their plan allow it — and you can hide it completely.

It means our team reviewed a document the member submitted — for example an ID or a degree certificate. It is a helpful signal, not a guarantee, so always make your own enquiries before deciding.

A percentage that shows how well two profiles fit each other's preferences both ways, plus shared interests and lifestyle. Each score comes with plain-language reasons so you can see what matches and what doesn't.

When both you and a match have added birth details (or at least rashi and nakshatra), the profile shows an Ashtakoota Guna Milan score out of 36 with a breakdown of all eight kootas and a Manglik check. Your birth time itself is never shown to anyone.

While OpenShadi is new, a few sample profiles show how the service works. They always carry a visible Sample tag and are not real people looking for a partner.

Yes. In Settings, turn on Hide profile. Nobody can find you until you turn it off; your matches and chats are kept.

Open their profile and choose Report or Block. A report also blocks them immediately and goes to our team.

Go to Settings → Delete account, on the website or in the app. See the Delete Account page for what is deleted and what the law requires us to keep.

Yes — the OpenShadi Android app has everything on the website plus voice and video calls. Download links appear on the website as soon as the app is live in the store.
